Some Advice

If you ever see an unfamiliar car driven by a person you've never seen before somehow breaking the rules in the parent drop-off lane at school, here's what you don't do:

You don't honk your horn, wave your hands wildly, and scream at her.

Why? Because there's a good chance she's a substitute teacher visiting your child's school for the very first time. She's not not following the rules on purpose; she doesn't know them. Furthermore, the fact that she is in the wrong place at the wrong time is already causing her distress, and you acting like a crazed lunatic helps the situation in no way. Cut her some slack so she can park her car, get inside, and take care of your kids in their teacher's absence.

Thank you.
