Race Day!

Though Brian worked longer than he had hoped to yesterday, we still managed to get all the way out to White Tank Regional Park before the sun had completely set. We found a good spot that was very close to the start line. It was an exciting location for sure. That's the view out our back window.

Brian had another successful race. He finished 12th out of 33 in his category. He was really hoping for a top-ten finish, but he feels vacation and the lack of gym time this week held him back. I, however, feel it was the 90-degree heat. Holy moly. These things need to start earlier in the day.

Anyway, we thought he did great and were happy to cheer him on.

After his strong start, we met up with him out in the desert between his two loops. We happily found some shade with LeAnn and Mike, even if it was just a sliver.

I could tell he was tired in the middle, but he was really feeling it at the end. He still pushed hard to the finish, though!

It was a tough race on a really hot day, and he still did well. We're proud of him.
