So the kids and I were shopping at Super Target last week and I picked up an impulse buy--Krusteaz Gingerbread Cake & Cookie Mix. It was on the clearance rack (Gee, I wonder why?) and since it wasn't past its expiration, I bought it. Elizabeth and I made the cookies this weekend. Maybe I was more relaxed because it's July and I didn't care how these gingerbread people came out. Or maybe Elizabeth's more mature than she was last week. In any case, we had a lot of fun together. She decorated a tray of her own and man did she have fun with that pastry bag!
P.S. I was telling my friend Jennifer about our gingerbread people and she said, "Did you dress them up in bathing suits for summer?" What a cute idea! Next time.
